Nicole Beno is a Slovak-born Canadian artist, fascinated by technology and its relationship with the natural world. Known for her inventive use of materials such as orchid petals, jelly, office supplies and moldy strawberries, which she employs in ways that cleverly enhance their aesthetic qualities. Through the process of digital manipulation, she distorts, cuts and combines them into something entirely new. Her photographs and image-making style are a blend of digital and analog, a remix of computer and hand.
